Description
Enjoy Chinese cultural arts, performances by the China Art Union, music and musical instruments, opera, dance -- from traditional to hip hop -- childrens games, paper-cut practices, a tea ceremony and Chinese food treats. TheatreOne will present of the original work, Best Left Buried -- a play about Nanaimo's own Chinatown. Choreographer Wen Wei Wang and dancers of his company will speak about the performance of "UNBOUND" scheduled for Saturday night at the Port Theatre.

The Nanaimo Museum is the guardian of the Bastion, a former Hudson's Bay Company outpost that was built in 1853. The museum provides a site interpreter to share the fascinating stories of the lives of early settlers and the significance of the Bastion to Nanaimo.
