Things To Do in BC

When visiting Vancouver, Nanaimo and Victoria there are many things to do to make a vacation or business trip enjoyable. There are so many things to do from walking the sea wall to hiking or skiing.

There are things to do no matter what season of the year it is; in the summer there are the white sand beaches, hiking and special events, the rest of the year there are places to see like the Museum of Anthropology and Grouse Mountain for outdoor fun.

Summer means walks in Stanley Park and on the Sea Wall, there is Tilford Gardens where eight acres of gardens are split into different themes. There is Jericho Beach for sunbathing, swimming and fun for the family or the businessperson.

Stanley Park has so many things to offer with a petting farmland for children with over 200 animals, which includes reptiles, birds and other animals like chickens and ducks. Walking in the park means there is the Community Garden that is filled with potted and ornamental plants or the Mary Greig Rhododendron Garden. This is a garden filled with over fifty different verities of rhododendrons in every imaginable color.

In the cooler weather there are things to do like skiing, snowboarding and sled rides on Grouse Mountain. The ski slopes are top rated, there is an 8,000 square foot pond for ice-skating, and there is a snow limo for rides on the mountain. There are also helicopter rides that show the breathtaking views of Grouse Mountain. The Observatory Restaurant on the mountain has a view of Vancouver 3,700 feet below, while having a snack or a romantic dinner.

If outside activities are not on the list, there are laces like the Museum of Anthropology with over 13,000 pieces of art on display from local artists and artifacts from the past.

The HR Macmillan Space Center is one of the exciting places to visit in Vancouver, because this is one of the top planetariums in North America. This planetarium holds a Zeiss projector that has the ability to show a 360-degree view of the stars and planet at the space center.
