Of course you're wearing comfortable shoes and carrying water. And it's no surprise that this Vancouver itinerary is made for dryer weather. Consider packing a lunch.
10:00 a.m.
If you're near a SkyTrain Station, take the SkyTrain to Waterfront Station. Alternatively, if you're staying downtown, you can warm up those muscles by walking to Waterfront Station.
10:30 a.m.
Take the SeaBus across to North Vancouver. You'll arrive into Lonsdale Quay and the bus loop.
11:00 a.m.
At the bus loop, take bus 228 or 229.
Ask the driver to let you out at Lynn Canyon Park.
12:00 p.m.
Lynn Canyon Park is a 250-hectare (617-acre) park with many trails to please avid hikers. One of the most popular trails is the trail to the 30-foot pool. This is an easy 15-minute walk from the parking lot. Get your nerves set to cross the suspension bridge. Continue along until you reach the bottom of the staircase. The 30-foot pool will be on your left. Relax. If you don't have a packed lunch, there's a café ready to offer you the latest in refueling strategies.
2:00 p.m.
Return to the suspension bridge for a 45-minute hike. Take the boardwalk leading to the right. When the trail forks, turn right and follow the signs to Twin Falls. From here you can pick up the Baden-Powell Trail north to the suspension bridge, 48 meters (154-feet) wide and 50 meters (160 feet) above the creek on the east side.
5:00 p.m.
If you want to learn more about the area, visit the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre.
6:00 p.m.
Catch the bus back to Lonsdale Quay. Once there, walk half a block to Chesterfield. Turn right. Follow Chesterfield up two blocks to West Esplanade. Turn left. Walk one block to Semisch Avenue. It's time to reward yourself with a good meal and a good drink.

Return to the Lonsdale Quay Sea Bus terminal. Take the SeaBus back to Vancouver.
