Season Outlook:
The 2012 Premier Pirates are taking on a whole different look this season. Not only have the Pirates changed their looks on the field, things have dramatically changed off.
On field, the Pirates have gone more retro with their uniforms, opting for the old school Pittsburg Pirate look. The old train conductor hats and high pants, finished off with ring socks give this years fans something to talk about and shield their eyes from.
Off Field has seen a more dramatic change. The Pirates now have a Board of Directors calling the shots in 2010. Gone are the days of 1 or 2 people making all the decisions. Now, all issues are discussed and relayed to the players and parent group. The Pirates are trying to make the program more professional in its appearance and inner workings. The “buzz” word for this year is franchise. The team will charge admission this year, albeit small, to help with expenses, and season tickets are available to the public. The old upstairs concession at Serauxmen Stadium will now sell Pirate souvenirs and the downstairs concession will finally open, as intended for years.
