Victoria British Columbia
Victoria is one of the cities that visitors will have no trouble finding many things to do that will make a vacation or business trip perfect. There are outstanding restaurants for fine dinning and local fare, then there are the museums and art galleries, along with many other attractions.
There is the Maritime Museum of British Columbia that will transport visitors back to the days of pirate ships and dugout canoes. This museum is located at Bastion Square in Victoria. Another museum that will be a hit with the entire family is the Royal London Wax Museum; this has over 300 wax portrayals of different personalities that include legends and leaders. This museum is located on Belleville Street in Victoria. Then there is the Naval and Military Museum that has archives and a library, along with their exhibits and maritime history at the Naval base Ezquimalt.
Other places that can be seen while in Victoria are the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, located on Moss Street. This is where some of the best-known artist works like Emily Carr is shown. Victoria is home to the Victoria Conservatory of Music and the Royal Theater, this the Victoria Symphony and the Pacific Opera is located in a building that has a long history dating to 1913. Located on Broughton Street in Victoria this is where audiences have seen Luciano Pavarotti, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Carlos Montoya and Sarah Bernhardt.
One of the places that is sure to educate and be a hit with the children, is the Victoria Bug Zoo. This is a place where there are bugs, spiders and tarantulas that will thrill and amaze. There are hairy tarantulas, walking sticks and stranger bugs, like the Peruvian blue centipedes, Malaysian Jungle Nymphs, and white eyed assassin bugs. These are just a few of the odd bugs that will be seen and learned about that the Victoria Bug Zoo that is located on Courtney Street in Victoria.
These are a just a handful of the places that can be visited for entertainment while on vacation or business in the city of Victoria.
